I thought all US models cx5, from at least 2018 have it.
Mine has it. One of the reasons I did not fit the gen-1 sill metal plates.
May be on yours its hidden behind the sill plate?
are the illuminated sill plates flat at the bottom?
thats a bummer because I like them even though they are expensive.
btw gen1 has the same ones but not illuminated and gen1 also has the metal ones. Some reviews mention that those could fit on gen2 and hide the crease to a way but from the first post picture it looks that may not be true.
btw it also seems from your second photo that the inner part of the frame is quite different vs 2018.
I have the illuminated ones on my '17. Expensive, but looks great.
After 5 yrs, the batteries (button batteries) continue to work well.
My daughter in college has that car now. Cannot take a picture to post it here.
I'd love to have them on my recently acquired '22 CX5.
I emailed Mazdaparts.org. They admitted that, what they are selling does not fit 2022.
It seems like it does not fit 2018-2021 well either....
That gaps are going to collect dirts over time.
After some research... 2018+ models have the crease.
Please be aware of this fact when you purchase any sill/scuff plates.
The small gaps might collect dirts over time.
thanks for the update.
I wonder if adding more of the 3m tape at the gaps would help if one buys the door sill plates.
At least to prevent dirt getting in. Otherwise the sill plates are a bit pointless.
