What have you done to your MSP today?

well, i got the msp back together tonight with the daylight i had. p5 is blocking it, so im not in a hurry to get the battery charged ect. started thinking about how to move the silver one and tried to lift the tranny in place, but no clutch to guide it made this pretty much impossible by myself. the only thing to keep it up would have been the dowel pins while i snaked a bolt in, awkwardly holding a teedery tranny hah.

so im gonna take all the mani's off, the head, the cooling stuffs, ac compressor and alternator then just drop the shortblock where it is now, loosly reconnect the front suspension to let it roll foward, then push back into port.
the rod looks to have damaged the ac compressor, but is there a safe way to remove it at home? i just wanted to get it out of both cars and bolt it up into the new one, and have a professional take care of charging it again ect.
OH, would a NON ac power steering belt clear the ac pump if it was sitll in the car? or would i be better to bring the good ac pump and all hardware and let the professional install it themselves?
it would prob be mazda... im not big on paying someone to LEARN how to service my cars.. mazda would just... do it.

I just thought it was funny we told him to do the exact same thing. Experience counts for something, I guess!

Sure does haha. when you've owned as many proteges/p5s/msps as me (and you i think), or worked on even more you tend to get the little secrets haha

dropped an fsde on the concrete today.. pretty productive evening.

on an unrelated note... the door trims.. the black plastic ones that sit on top of the door panels.. manual saves to REMOVE rear door glass to get it off.. is that required? or just remove the screw and gently pry it up?

You don't have to remove the glass. Just have to be very gentle with it. Use a sliding trim removal tool if you have one. If you apply too much pressure they will bend or snap the clips.

Ill practice on the doors to be recycled. Have to track down an oem rear engine mount today and stuff it full of silicon.

I totally forgot I have to put my Walbro in... Guess I'll do that this weekend. As well as tuning with the FTC.

Msp front brakes on p5.. just calipers and rotors? Or just unhook the tie rod and take the whole spindle, lca, axle dangly over to the p5?

Wasn't sure there was brackets or what not but the spindles look pretty identical on both cars.

Don't we all? Need the moneyz first though.

Found a damn leak on the driver's side of my car today, carpet and backing is completely SOAKED. Pulled the cowl and tried to find a leak but couldn't, need to try to clean the drains for the cowl area next.

Scored an intermittent wiper switch at the JY today and installed a new pin and bushing for the clutch pedal. The stock pin wasn't worn too bad but the bushing was, doesn't seem to squeak anymore.

got the front end back on the p5 and played musical cars today. tommorrow will be the last day i drive the black p5, and it will be to pick up the engine hoist that will end her life.. with the clutch of the p5 in the msp the sound ive been hearing is definitely inside the trans.. sucks.

I need a base map for the timing table for the FTC... Anyone point me in the right direction?

Weekend To-Do List:
-Finish the carbon fiber hood.
-Reinstall my lower engine covers and inner fender liner.
-Get some type of base tune for timing.
-Clean the interior and exterior of the car.
-Tighten the leaking oil return line.
-Install the Walbro.
-R&R the leaking clutch slave.

All while somehow watching a 5-year-old and a 4-month-old. Anyone care to help?
