I was thinking about getting an extra set of rims for winter. I found a Subaru Legacy that's more than likely gonna get totaled. Anyway my question is would the rims on that fit an '04 Mazda3 hatchback?
These are the style I'm looking at.

Here's how you may find out.

Go to www.tirerack.com and enter your vehicle information.
Click on wheels and select the same diameter as your OEM wheel in the column on the left of the screen. Only wheels of your car's wheel diameter will be displayed.
Jot down the bolt hole pattern (# of holes and bolt circle diameter), wheel width(s) and offset(s).
Now do the same for the Subaru Legacy to see if it has the same wheel dimensional parameters.

I'm going to say not without some work. MZ3 wheels are 5x114 bolt pattern, and, as far as I can tell, the Legacy is a 5x100. You'd have to buy adapters or get the wheels drilled (which is not a terribly good idea). I haven't even looked up offsets yet.

In earlier discussion of wheel options, I ran across Midwest Wheel and Tire, which turns out to be a great source of OEM wheel information... and all of the OEM wheels they list for a Subaru Legacy are indeed 5x100.

I wouldn't even momentarily consider re-drilling an OEM wheel - they almost never have a big blank centre area which would have material where you would need to drill. The drilling - as a precision machine shop service - would cost so much that I don't think it would make sense even if it would work.
