need opinions on ebay megan racing springs

2.0" drop and stiff springs. i was going to get them but i didnt think the MP3 stock tokicos would be about to handle them.

they will work but the stock struts wont last long with these springs. they will work with illuminas or you can upgrade struts later on.

changing out suspension on this car takes maybe 15 mins with all the tools.

cool, thanks

I might just pick up some struts later though.. Im not sure what to get, cant find an Awesome deal, ya know?

I bought these springs for my Protege5 and it sits perfectly. Rides great no regrets. Just make sure you cut your jounce bumpers about 1 1/2- 2 inches.

I wouldn't recommend it. Stock struts are valved for lower spring rates. You get lowering springs, and the spring rates go up, not to mention the area of the strut being used is no longer where it was designed to operate. You can run them for a little bit, but the performance of them isn't ideal, and they wear out much faster.

I love mine, and I didn't have to cut the bump stops at all. It actually rides great and they are not as stiff as some say. I actually thought it would be stiffer and rougher.

looks good, idk if i find some gently used tokicos il get those too. Not looking forward to spending much right now..

I got my KYB GR2 struts at kyboutlet.com, at 50 ucks a pop they wernt bad and the ride quality is stupendous

i have kybs in front rears might be kinda going... just picked up another set of stock struts to lower on, and keep stock setup w stock springs for winter. and set some MR springs on the incoming stocks.

untill i find a set of blues or something i want..

at least thats the plan lol

I have a 2003 Mazda P5 that i bought very used, but one of the previous owners put Megans on it: I get some fender rub in the corners when I have more than one passenger. I love the way it corners - not super stiff, nice agility - but the suspension feels very low, especially with the 17" Enkeis.

Happy to swap for factory springs if that appeals to anyone.

Check with rar he's got a thread in here somewhere he had the tokico megan setup. He's sellin his 4 struts for 250 plus shipping they have about 6000 miles on them or something. Its 50 more bucks than new kybs...just throwib that out there

If anyone is looking for Megans let me know. Im talking with Megan now as they only have 3 sets left. (ready to ship)

Mine have really settle in and i love them every day. Not rough at all unless you are on an old cement road. On the freeway doing 75-80 you really feel the road and how good they are. At high turning speeds they don't give a lot of roll but enough to make you want to go faster. My kids even love it.
