I saved some material for a flamesuit

:
06 LS MS6
07 BM GT (shell has been struck from the roll)
So, prompted by the IAT I saw on the DH, I felt the need to do a better job of getting ambient air all the way to the MAF.

see pic 1
the 5" inner dia of this material slipped over my CAI quite nicely, i have it nearly to the recirc tube.
then a bit of stuffing to fill a couple gaps where the fender well is open to the engine bay, and the filter can only pull from the deep fenderwell.

see pic2
popped a 3 inch hole into the floor of the well to let that nice outside air in

see pic 3

now since I just happen to have this front brake cooling duct from a 2004 jaguar F1 car laying around the house (drinks)
perhaps I can assist that 3" hole (limb)

Don't wanna tighten up the flange and filter too much, that thing moves around a fair bit when the engine does.

Testing stuff is fun...I won't judge you. I made a home made CAI for the Cobb SRI my car came with out of dryer ducting and zap straps, to see if the car would run better on CAI.
