EBC Green Pads Squealing

These pads keeeeppp squealing...Is that normal? I know when they are new they make noise usually but these are making that sound like they are SHOT...Kinda embarassing....Anyone else have the EBC green brake pads? I had my rotors turned also so its not anything with them..

did you break them in? mine have no squealing problems

you have to break them in at least 500 miles of soft braking before you can start worrying about noise

No, i have maybe 150 or so... so did yours sounds pretty nasty at first?

The reason i am worrying is because someone on here posted about the HAWK pads being loud... If this is what he means, im worried...

yea mine had some squealing at first, but once the break-in coating goes away you should be fine

a little squealing is normal for performance pads

Ok, i hope it does. I am military so i pull up to a gate guard EVERY day atleast once a day so its getting embarrasing....

its should go away after 500 miles, just go easy on them and dont do any hard braking and you should be fine

did you use brake grease when installing?

don't know if that's the problem. but brake grease is standard on any brake job and it's entire purpose is to reduce noise and friction between the brake pads and calipers. if the noise doesn't get any better it's definitely worth a shot.

Went away for me after 400 miles or so. Took a while to get the break-in stuff to wear down. Should be ok.

So guys, before u say it..I know the rust on the rotors look pretty awesome! Thats custom! Ok so not really. I bought paint and i am gonna do it soon. Trying to work slowly cause the WIFE keeeeeeeeeeepppppps complaining about me working on the car. Did the turbo inlet today, maybe ill paint em this weekend.

Mine came with a noise reduction plate that I had to stick to the pad where it makes contact with the caliper. I didn't see it in your pictures. Mind didn't squeak, I'm sure those stickies helped.

Well my car has been through 2 tanks of gas plus a little more and im STILL squealing! I am pretty NOT happy with these brakes. I didnt put the little noise reduction things on because it didnt seem like it was needed. Either i am impatient or they really were needed. Either way, THEY ARE DRIVING ME NUTS!!!!!! People look at my car and probably think what a piece of crap, guy spends all his money on the car payment and cant afford brakes. Anyways, for future EBC buyers...Maybe try adding the noise things. Im about ready to s*** can these damn brakes!

yea that might be your problem...
i put those things on mine and i didnt get any noise

s***, mine sound like they are worn down to bare metal...They are not getting any better either. Which is even worse because the end doesnt seem to be coming!
