What have you done to your P5 today?

So why don't you get it rebuilt under the warranty, it has been burning oil badly so obviously the engine is fubar.

And i know how to MAKE it pop, but, i don't want to do anything dumb that'll risk voiding the warranty

if it's knocking...you don't have to wait for it to pop.....take it in and have them look at it now....

or you'll regret it later.....that ticking could last 2miles before it pops or 10,000 miles....it just depends

plus think about it...no way in hell are you going to sell that car with a ticking motor for $6,000-$8,000
 
oh i removed the FS listing, no worries there!

and i can take it in, but, the warranty company won't do anything about it

and i don't think it'll last too long
 
man I wish I had money for wheels again.
Gonna change the oil and s*** over the weekend. Maybe wash and detail the b****. I'm still not driving it.:(

alright, i'm worried now.

There is a stock 02 Protege5 that overheated and fried the piston rings (Was bone stock) and he had a warranty, they denied his claim, saying "He should have shut the car off when the temp light came on"

The mechanic is worried as well, cause he knows ii need amotor
 
Lubed the s*** out of every single part on all the brakes. I thought that was my metal grinding noise. It wasn't. I drove it around and it was still there. I jack the car up and look at the exhaust and sure enough one of the metal ties that was holding the heat wrap in place slipped off and was rattling on the pipe making a very similar noise to metal grinding. Problem solved.

Welded thunder mani and heatwrapped, new tb and new maf and cleaned the bay :)

Started the strip down today, all parts won't be FS though until i sell the P5

Callie gets my lights for now, at least till I pick up the MSP and swap em back. She should have hers in 2-3 months

Also removed the 03.5 MSP lip. Gotta go get a CD pocket at Walmart and then the gauges come out this week coming, along with short shifter and AWR motor mounts

Gonna swap intake manifolds back and do the rear motor mount while i do

Hey Pro, just wondering if you are going to sell that MSP front bumper because my stock one looks like it was sandblasted and yours is already blue so I wouldnt have to paint it, and I want the fog deletes. Let me know. Thanks

Motor is knockin bad, so it isn't gonna sell. Gotta find out what's gonna happen with the motor now.

Warranty company declined a dude's stock pro5 that overheated and melted the piston rings and needed a motor, so, i'm affraid to find out i gotta outa pocket pay for a new motor

Dub benefited from my need of stock shifter and motor mounts.

Just swapped twm shifter lastnight out for the stocker, god it sucks. lol

So, ordered an 03.5 MSP short shifter to replace the stock cause i can't do these semi truck throws of the shifter

oh, and racing harts are taking a break :(
