Go top dead center and the marks line up. I always paint them to so I don't mess it up. A little white out will help you line it up and get the marks centered more easily if you lose track of how they were.

lol i would think that anything that you need to buy from the stealership for 5000% mark-up, that you can get for free on the internet, wouldn't exactly be very legal haha

but anyways Boosted_speed, i wasnt bragging (assuming you were talking about me) I just thought what the man said was funny because thats what i also thought. But dont feel bad cuz even if you did search for timing marks you wouldnt have found much. I just did some extended searching till i found the service manual for our car on the Protege5 forums.

You know, now that i think about it, can I sticky that to our forum for anyone else who needs it for future reference or is that only moderator/admin powers?
