Damn, this place is slow. Did everyone trade in their P5s or what? Bored & driving something else? or Crashed? or rotted from salt? WTF? Ya turn your head for a few enjoying the truck & poof, nobody home. Guess it's all been covered & or folks have moved on. Kinda sad upinheeya. Maybe it's just early...............

For my part, i'm kind of getting bored of my P5 sadly. Well it's because my needs have changed and I need a truck. Proteges on construction site hauling 2x4s and cement bags isnt the best. I have been getting some scrapes on the bumper here and there from it being so low .. I must say it is roomy enough to bring along my wheel barrow and shovel can't put a wheel barrow in a civic

Maybe we should make one thread for the "night dwellers",

LOL, please tell me what the last sentence of my initial post says that keeps being qouted.....Think it says "maybe it's just early". I'm not used to being the 1 of 2 registered users logged on in the P5 section...even @ that early hour. Plus spending time on Tacomaworld forum probably skews it a bit, hell of a lot of traffic there. Tons of Tacos everywhere & still pumping them out new. P5's are getting fewer & fewer so that's kinda what struck me as hey where is everybody.

I'm going to pay maaco the $700 they wanted to straighten my front unibody, get a new re-bar and bumper cover, and straighten the rad support (which really should be replaced, but ehhh 700 is pushing my pockets as it is)

Then I'm going to attempt to repaint my entire car. Some kind of shade of dark blue, ideas?

In all seriousness, I have realized a decline in activity. However, I haven't been here long, so it may be a result of the oncoming summer. Families taking their P5's to the beach, vacations, etc.

Any ideas to increase activity?

Make people stop getting rid of their P5s? Let's face it, there's a life cycle with these, and at this point the oldest cars are 8 years old now, and a lot of them have cycled through from enthusiasts to folks who just like them for the utility. But on the upside it should settle to a consistent level here soon, and as the car ages (gracefully I might add), we're starting to see some really cool stuff. Dimitri has the electric P5 posted about yesterday which is awesome, and there are a number of other cool projects and at this point, so it's not all bad.

I dunno, it's kinda sad to see people jumping ship left and right. Magnum just sold his P5 and it's going to be parted out by the new owner partially. It is cool to see some of the projects that have come around though. The KLZE P5, electric P5 and so forth. I'm sticking with mine for a long long time. It's my baby.
