I just got rear ended by a bus. I might need some advise

best thing to do is to avoid filing a claim with your ins co. you can let them know of the incident but filing a claim with them should only be done if you cannot get the other party's insurance to pay easily

This is was is happening. We (Me and Ins) contacted the bus company directly and they exchanged some #'s with my Ins company. It turns out the driver had yet to call it in.....

The bus company said they will pay for the damages in full and that I can expect a call from their Ins company.

I'm SOL on the police report. I just called the PD and they told me an officer will not file a report after the fact, it has to be done at the time.

edit: lesson learned, FILE A POLICE REPORT NO MATTER WHAT

well here's the damage. It's really nothing that bad. I got the Ins quote back this morning, pending it's approval I'll be getting a check for $1,456.52. CF trunk here I come!

Nice, on the CF trunk. I wish I could get the same luck lol I got rear ended last month and all I got out of it is a scratched up rear bumper and cracked rear lip. Other guy at fault w/ no insurance FTL!
