TWM Shifter

Just wanted to say that the TWM shifter + bushings make a HUGE difference in how this car feels when shifting. The install was not bad, the directions were clear except for a good picture of the side spring and the quality is perfect.

When I pulled out the old bushings, the spacers weren't even round! No wonder this car used to have a mushy shifter.
I would recommend this for everyone, at least get the bushings, that will be the best $20 or so you will have spent for this car.

Not only arent the original spacers round they are all different shapes... No idea what that could be for. I think my mm and shifter bushings were the best money spent, sure makes it feel like a whole new car.

I would second that as well, I really like the TWM shifter n bushings - I've only had them in about a week or so but the gearbox feels so much more solid. The install was really easy too. The only pain was getting the new shifter base back under that spring while holding it up with needle nose pliers in one hand, shift rod in the other and the flashlight in my mouth. (yes it was dark and I didn't have a shop light)

I didn't think it made all that huge of a difference at first until I jumped in my buddys speed6 today. I can't believe how much a noticible difference there is now. Even though they are different from the beginning, its waaayyy more different now.

Just put a new boot on too, which makes it look as awesome as it drives

If your looking for cheap and easy then you could get a Engine mount or a boost gauge.

More expensive options include intercoolers, cobb ap (or other tune), downpipe to name a few.

you wont really feel any difference with the bushings unless you really step down on it. i used to miss third sometimes real bad but now i get into it so fast that i actually chirp the wheels a little bit.

Really. I thought the bushings made a bigger difference than the short shifter itself. No more "mushy" shifts. Everything feels solid and you dont have to struggle to get it in gear.

Really? No struggle? I have Redline MT-90 and the dogbone, and first thing in the morning getting in and out of first and second is still a b****. Have to muscle more than before, and it drives me crazy. Can't wait for the TWM SS and Bushings...

well, i never had to struggle to get into gear. my only problem with the shifter as i said before was just when i was trying to go fast. never had a problem with it for regular driving.
