my MSP build...kinda

well, i installed the vibrant vacuum block...running my HKS SSQV blow-off valve and my boost gauge...removed the stock BPV and WG lines and capped off the nipple on the intake mani...and finally installed my turbo timer...it's been riding in my car for over a year now...that was a b****. i drew-up the wiring schematics of my gauges in excel...i'm a visual person and everything was written out...it's a bit more complex than i had anticipated...and of course, there are different colored wires on each gauge...the colors used on the spreadsheet are the actual colors of the wires...i finished painting the autometer a-pillar triple gauge pod. at some point this week i have to install the motor mounts, wire the gauges and wait on the stock lines for the turbo so i can put those on.

i haven't decided whether or not to install the awr side inserts...my battery decided to freak out one day and it has created rust on the tranny mount...so that'll be fun to take out. i need to hit it with some sandpaper and paint it to keep it from having any further damage...or just buy a new mount.

once my turbo lines/gaskets get here...i can assemble the mani/turbo/dp along with all of the lines and install it the following day...so, hopefully she'll be running by this weekend.

i have the xd-16 gauge with my LC-1 and love it. the LED bar is great, it'll show quick major changes in AFR that you won't be able to pick up by looking at the numerical LEDs because they are moving too fast. i dunno how fast the needle moves on that one, guess u just have to keep a good eye on it.
 
where did you mount your lc-1? under the car? another question...what did you do for with the analog 1 wire? just taped it off? what did you do with the two 2.5mm plugs?

Blitzd (Ben) gave me his old stock intake mani...i'm going to remove the VTCS and p&p it this week...thanks ben!

if all goes to plan, the install will be saturday. i put the gauges in the gauge pod...i think i should have left it black...not quite sure about the silver gauges in a grey gauge pod.

i ziptied the LC-1 to the P/S lines right behind the pass headlight. yes i just isolated and taped the analog wire. the 2.5mm Terminator plug, needs to be plugged into the serial in port of the LC-1. then the 2.5mm cable runs from the serial out of the LC-1 to the gauge. then if you want, you can run the PC cable from the 2.5mm out on the gauge and hide the serial cable in the glovebox for easy access. thhis is what i did. also try not to hotswap any of the 2.5mm components. the LC1 may pick it up as a lambda conversion ratio change and will display a weird AFR. mine did this. just hook up your PC and change the ratio back to 14.7.

my rear motor mount, which the person said would ship out this past monday, now won't ship out until tomorrow at the earliest...did they bother to tell me this? no...i had to send 2 ******* pm's asking for updates. if someone tells you that they can't drive their damn car until you send off a part, wouldn't you do whatever you could to get it out in a timely manner? let's go through this s*** together...

i posted a weapon-r engine damper for sale...since corksport only warranties the downpipe with the motor mounts, i was going to go that route instead.
i get a pm from someone offering me the front/rear motor mounts with side inserts for a trade. we agree to ship out on wed 10/15. i have a pm in my inbox when i check the forum on 10/15 before i head out to work. the guy stated that he could not find the rear and we needed to work something else out...fine, no big deal. so, i replied and asked him what he wanted to do about it...all day...nothing...which is understandable, not everyone can check the forum from work. so, that night, he sends me a pm all pissed because he had shipped off the front MM and side inserts and i didn't ship out the damper...whoa...wtf? you tell me that you can't find one of the motor mounts (one of the two that i really need) and we need to 'work something out' ...yet you're pissed because i didn't ship out the damper? yeah, not my fault. so, that night he tells me that he has a buddy that has one that he will get over the weekend...fine. i went ahead and shipped off the damper (my stupidity) on thurs 10/16. he said that the motor mount would ship out monday at the latest...i even touched base with him to make sure this was the case, and he confirmed. i explained to him that i couldn't drive my car without the motor mount and i asked if he could PLEASE get it out as quickly as possible...apparently, that really doesn't matter to people. so, i pm him yesterday (10/21) just to make sure he had the damper and that he shipped off the motor mount...nothing...until tonight.
he tells me that his friend is in the middle of moving and all this bulls*** and that he hopes to have it in his hands tonight and out the door tomorrow. wait a ******* minute. you tell me it's going out last weekend...then monday...and now ******* thursday? so, due to my bad assed schedule (not his fault, i understand that) it will be NEXT weekend before my car is back together.
i really could knock the **** out of this guy right now...and i wouldn't feel bad about it at all. i'm sick and tired of excuses. if you say you're going to do something, ******* do it. if not, at least let the person know...and not after they've asked for updates for 2 days straight and you've ignored them.

yeah i've been ****** plenty of times. it sucks. especially when you send a billion PM's with no response. and in one situation i noticed that the member visits the forum numerous times between these PM's with still no response.. it took me sending a paypal money request to get the money back.

yeah, the turbo needs to be clocked...i just wanted to see how it would look together...purdy...

not quite sure if i like the silver gauges on the grey a-pillar...thoughts?

650 for a DP? wow, most reputable shops have them for around 1200...plus, with the mpnick, you don't have the turbo lag that you do with the gt28rs, but 5psi on the mpnick feels like 10psi on the stock turbo...so you have most of the pro's for going with a DP and none of the cons if memory serves me correctly.


Eh to be honest there isnt really lag with the 28rs and mine has been modded by mpi nick i have a bigger wheel in my 28rs and i still have full spool by 2800 rpm's and thats at half throttle in 4th gear.
 
lol nah **** pullin that s*** off again ill pass hahaha. Only other install im doing is the new intake mani install and a f/ic install lol
