Will 18" Rims fit my P5?

Just wondering if the 18" Mazda 6 rims will fit my 02 protege5 without any rubbing or other undesirables?

Thanks!
Greg

It depends what kind of suspension you have. But yah most people have to role there fenders with 18's from what I have seen on P5's. If you know what your doin that is not to hard though. A lot of people say the ride gets pretty bumpy with 18's though. I have 17's and love them, very smooth ride.

Ok, well I was just looking for the straight swap but if what you say is true (Bumpy, need to roll the fenders; which im not sure what really means) then I might just keep the 16" im running now :(

Get 17's, they are a straight swap. Even if your car is lowered. I bought a set of MSP Racing Harts from here for $400 shipped and spent another $114 on getting them powdercoated a gloss black. This is the end result:

Trust me. You will be happy with 17's

Nice looking rims!

I guess the only reason Im pressing the 18"s is because I have bought a second car for my gf which is a 626 and it actually runs these 18" monsters no problem... I just figured she wouldn't want those nice things on that car lol..

Well as long as there on your GF's car you might as well try them on your P5 and take a ride around the block to see if they rub. Just take a day and swap them out.

18s can be a "direct swap" you just need to make sure you have the correct wheel dimensions and tire size. Stick to an 18x7.5 wheel with an offset between +48 mm and +55 mm and stick with a 215/35R18 series tire and you should be golden.

What I gave above would fit no differently than a 17x7.5 wheel with the suggested +48 mm to +55 mm offset and a 215/40R17 series tire.

Whatever you pick just stick to wheels 7.5 inches wide or less, offsets between +48 mm and +55 mm and make sure the over all wheel/tire combination size is the same over all height as the stock 195/50R16 series tires.
