Weird Cable

So I just got my MS6 on Sat and I found a weird cable that I have no idea what it is for.

It's inside and it could be coming from either the NAV or the stereo I am not sure I haven't had time to follow it back to the source yet. It looks like a video input but it's the only cable there. I was curious if anyone has any ideas what this could have been from.

Thanks,

~K

Looks like an RCA output to me. Someone probably did a crappy job on installing a line out converter. (This changes the high level output from a speaker (normal wire) to a low level signal (RCA)) Someone probably had a subwoofer in your car before. If you want to investigate and or remove what they put in properly, I can explain to you how to remove the radio to get a better look and or remove it all.

Now, looking at WHERE it's coming out from, it could also be a video or audio input, but that all depends on what radio you have. You mentioned the "nav" and the 6 didnt come with nav, so you must have some sort of aftermaket nav. What's in the car? Photo?

Yeah, it looks like an RCA, even the antenna, but I noticed the Radioshack badge on it. Does your radio work without static? You're probably gonna have to pull the radio out, which isn't that hard.

Ya I figured out how to pull the radio...wow what a pain in the ass. But I got it pulled.

It looks like there was some sort of ghetto wire job. The weird thing is that there were a few other wires clipped back there, and another clipped RCA cable. No clue what the hell he had going on but I just yanked all the randomness out of there and put it back together.

But now I know what to do when I get the Ipod upgrade so that is good.

It has factory NAV and the BOSE system.

The cable is gone now but I am still wondering what the hell he could have been doing with that cable. I hate unsatisfied curiosity.
