blown engine

My engine in my MS3 just blew up today. didnt give any signs or anything. wasnt getting on it just driving down the road. it threw a rod out the side of the block idk what happen i check all my fluids daily. can anyone tell me if they have heard any service bulletins that may have prevented this or anything talking about engines blowing? my car is 100% stock

dont think there was any service bulletin that could have prevented this ... but you shouldnt have any problems with the dealership getting you a new car since your stock ... hopefully this incident does not shy you away from the speed3

Check out the link in this thread. There's a new TSB that replaces your fuel pump and flashes your ecu. Your engine probably wouldn't have blown if that were a mandatory recall for any affected cars.

like us all i have raced a few people. but i never heard anything it never gave any signs that it was going to happen.ill take some pics but you cant see the hole in the block cuz its behind the intake runners

Stock engine , low milage a well.
Yes it sucks.
This was with my MSP BTW..Not an MS3.

screwed road side assistance! its not worth it. my car did the same thing this mans did at 7pm and they couldnt locate any1 to tow it. it was joke man! i found some1 and they were there in 20 mins. i spend that long on the phone with mazda!

cant always relie on mazda.

sry about the motor man! mind did the same thing and it had 8000 miles on her. wow something is goin on with these motors
