this thing looks really really good right about now .. Now that i'm on my second transmission on my ms3 and the dealer has had 3 chances to fix my rattly speakers and my boy at work stayed side by side with me in his 87' Saleen which is nothing but a 5.0 210 hp. Blah well just drove by the sticker on it said 25,500$ thats not to bad for the performance parts they put in it and its a Roush + the 435hp it has (cool) I love mazda's but you just can't beat that growl of a good ole' mustang . just don't want to be another sell out don't like going with the mainstream just never been my thing......

If you cna afford it and you think it will make you happier, go for it. But how much will you be losing on the MS#?

You have got to be kidding me! Are you seriously on your 2nd tranny? I cannot believe that, what year is your car and what kind of problems did you notice before that?

im pretty sure its an 07 ms3 that hes got.
I dont know how he messed up his tranny either...
It probably wasnt treated all that nice though. It's prety much the only transmission ive heard of goinbg out.

mustangs are fun but i think ill never trade japanese car for american just dont have the heart for it, lol second transmition maybe ur car is a lemon?
or u race it to intense

These are Mazdaspeed cars, they should be be able to handle some thrashing with out falling completely apart.

try telling that to the mazdaspeed protege forum members, you will get laughed out of the thread lol

To some degree. We have no idea what his driving habits are and maintenance, Changing oil on time, and premium fuel are just a few things one could overlook. I had a shift linkage problem very soon after buying my car, but took it to the dealership got it fixed and have had no other problems.
at least have the car checked out before you buy it. Used high performance cars usually have issues= previous body damage and mechanical failure due to abuse and neglect of maintenance

yeah i agree matters they way u drive and treat ur car , haha its like treating ur girl or wife or wat ever ur nice relationship last long if ur bad that realtionship falls apart no matter how good is the girl exactly with car no matter how good car quality is but the way u treat it that wat matters

well even if I treated it like complete dirt there is no reason at 15,500 miles that 2nd and 3rd are completely wasted including the syncro's and the bearing in 5th and 6th were also torn up ..... 5th and 6th how the hell did i do that ? and what if I didn't chance the oil ???? its the transmission !!!. I leave the blame to rest in the motor mounts i think they did a really poor job with them my stock motor mount has a big ole' split in it because it moved around too much!!. I do love the car it is nice . I get a big ole smile every time I drive it .

Who knows what you could have done.
I'm not saying you necessarily did, just that it has a possibility.
Maybe you got the one only ****** up transmission in the bunch, flaws happen.
but I defintiely wouldnt want to buy a used high performance car... It's probably been ***** to s***.

i agree u never know how u drive the car plus its new got to give it time to adjust if he didnt do that then there i one problem mying still has 700 miles right now i got it 6 miles it had and im not ripping up and down the streets im adjusting it nice and its fast i wana go all out but dont wana mess up this car i have an 08

Really?? So you think you can just drive any old way and the car should last? Hahaha, you must be living in some fantasy land. In the wrong hands, ANY car can be thrashed.

went back to look at the sticker again they must have screwed up the price at the dealership It said 26,500 = 950 destination charge I don't think it would be used if it had a destination charge. Anyway checked out a vid on youtube about them and they are not 435hp impressive. 1/4 13.5 is the best they got.
50,000 !!!!(blarf)

not my fault the stock motor mount's sucked balls . I Didn't engineer it and I didn't tell people they could flat shift it either.

the proof is in the puddin' this is with my finger pushing on it . i Can't imagine what a motor pushing out over 300+ pound of tourque would have been doing.
Track days = 0
see the split ????

Hmmm 22k on on the clock, hard driving, no issues. Oh, and stock mounts too. Several other members, with lots of mods, endless track runs, no issues either. Wonder how that could be?
