I like very much, almost to the point where I'm thinking about doing that. How much of a pain was it?

Looks good!

follow the how to and it isn't that difficult. I masked off the small ring on the turn signal and personally think it looks much better. Either way- it's a great mod!

(Sorry for the crappy pics- I only have a camera phone...)

It wasn't that much of a pain, but I've done this before so it wasn't a problem for me. It was time consuming though.

Maybe on a black or blue car, but why on silver? Nice job tho:)
I think it looks good on the silver

A friend of mine said to do that after I had finished, I think it looks cool to.

It looks nice. Do they sell them already black?
Not for the 5, they sell them for the sedans but they are a single light with the hi and low in one bulb.
Thanks for all the comments guys

My understanding is the Canadian 2003 p5 came with them like this. I have had very little luck finding a set myself. One guy offered me a set brand new for $300, but now that i see this...hmmmm.....

So much cheaper to do. Just takes a little time.

How much time and money went into this? and was it a huge Pain in the Ass to get them off?

I've never taken my front bumper off, so i'm weary about trying this. But i DO like saving $300...I like that a LOT!

I paid about 6 bucks for the paint. The front bumper took me about half an hour to get off (there is a write up on on it in the how to section). Disassembling the light took about 30 minutes. Painting took about 30 minutes (three coats for each one). Another 30 minutes to put them back together and about 15 to put them back on the car (knew what I was doing this time). I took a lot of breaks in between and ate a sandwich, but all in all didn't take that long at all. So 6 bucks in and some time well spent is all it takes.

sorry, I'm working my way through the 12 page write up.

Could this be a one day thing? or is it a full out weekend?

Edit: the pics in the how-to aren't working...are they working for others?

It was a one day thing for me and I was taking my time with it. As for the pics they didn't work for me either but I had seen the pics when it did work so I knew what I was getting my self into.

i saw pics of the headlights getting done...it's the bumper that scares me.

Anyone got any pics for taking the bumper off?

The red circles are where the screws hold it to the body, there are two more on the bottom of the car in the center.

The yellow circles are where the tabs are under the corner of the headlights. They need to be pushed in for the bumper to come off.

There are also two plastic clips in the grill that need to come off as well.

You have to take off the splash guards in the wheel well to get to the screws in the fender.

It really isn't that bad. I too was scared of doing this myself so I took a road trip to Boston to hang with the NEPOC crew.

Don't let the bumper intimidate you. Follow the how-to and you will be just fine. Just be careful with the clips under the headlight where the bumper attaches to the fender. I found that using a flat head to press the clip in worked great.

Make sure to set a full day aside in case you do come across any issues but more so to take your time in prepping and painting the lights.
