how to change shift knobs for tiptronic mp5??

My shifter usually goes on around my knob.........(peep) then she takes me for a ride!! haha

*and I dont have much to cut off anyway so what i got is very important in my life!! And she sometimes calls it a lolly pop....but usually she calls it Mr fancy.

If you dont cut the stick your going to have about 2and a half inches of rod between your shifter and your knob, making your shifter look like a lolly pop.

Hey Mazda-man, what knob is that ? Kinda like it. Where did you get it ?

there are some people asking how i mounted this shifter and i will tell you it was easy just unscrew the stock shifter first then take a 4.5" grinder with a cut off wheel and cut the factory shaft to the length that you need it mount the knob it was that easy

ok here you go the top of the shifter has 3 screws in it that is how it is held into place as far as the mounting i had to cut down the shaft on the stock shifter for it to fit i used the length of one of the black sleeves that you see in the picture to get the proper length i didn't want to cut off to much then simply put it togther according to the instructions that they give you
