Looks nice!! You should paint the sides and leave the center with the CF showing. I think that looks sweet!!

Anyway looks sweet!!

Wow...never saw that style of hood before. That looks awesome...good for you man! I think that's the nicest aftermarket hood for the Protege so far.

I got the hood on eBay from a APC wholesale place in Riverside, CA. I paid $305 for the hood. Then I contacted my old employer who has a hub office in the same damn city. They had someone go pick the hood up for me and ship it to their local warehouse here UPS freight. $84 for friggin shipping (SWEET!)... so all in all I have about $390 TOTAL tied up in it... and it fits friggin perfect... ZERO complaints despite the APC name. Pirana was right, this is the best fitting hood I have seen yet on a MSP.

If you dont mind me askin how much did you pay?

Despite the APC name, this hoods were made in the good'ol USofA! They have fiberglass backings, but they are great. Remember that if you leave you car outside for long periods of time, you will need to UV coat the hood so it wont turn yellowish.

Looks great, and I did love mine when I had it. Good buy.

Been overcast all day and quite cool out... no rain today... Charlotte is on the southwest side of NC... the strom was on the east side near the coast...

Now I need some eyelids and CF grill... or possibly a black DX grill... I always wanted to be like you when I grew up Pirana! (enguard) (first)

i have that same hood sitting next to my mintblue bumper in my friends garage in NJ.. but im so broke that there would be no point to send it down to myself haha. love the hood, looks great on ur car.

I wouldn't say that... I dropped the bomb on her about the hood after I installed it and was on my way home... so to say the least she has been shopping since 3:00 this afternoon and isn't home yet... (shocked) (yupnope)

That may have been the case with some ? but this one had a sticker on the underside that said "Made In Mexico". But hell, our countries are attached so WTF is the difference... and most of them live here now anyways and PWN the landscaping business in the US. hehe.
