Some of you know recentl I've talked to some of you reguarding my exhaust problem. I thought there was a leak from where the header connects to the exhaust and possibly that donut ring gakset was worn, that was not the case. I noticed my resonator has cracked/split at the end portion of it, the picture below is not my car but an indication of where it is cracked. Should I get this welded? Is there any other way I can fix this? Solder? let me know thanx.

I noticed this happened after I had an exhaust shop weld my high flow cat in to my corksport exhaust, They didnt drop the portion from the car that the car was welded I can tell it was just pulled down.

Depending on how bad the crack is you could probably get it welded for $30-$40. I had a crack like that develop on my muffler from the support bar and they welded it back for $20.

either was im getting a flex pipe too. But solder would not work? I mean a ton of solder would not work? I'm very good with soldering.

haha, I don't know, what's the melting point of solder? The exhaust gets incredibly hot. I'd be afraid of the solder melting. That won't be near as strong as a weld either.
