Installed my new gauge

Today I partially installed my autometer electric boost gauge.
It was not too difficult and I like the fact that autocalibrates everytime along with peak and warning light options.

I have been driving the speed for a year and I never realize how much feedback a boost gauge gives.

It reads 20 Hg at idle and it looks like it is working well. I read 5.5 PSI at readline about in everygear. I also notice that with my driving style I barely hit boost and that was a surprise to mee.

I have a midpipe, turboback, k&n filter and besides reading a pretty much constistent 6.5 psi at WOT I notice that in second gear at WOT I hit 7.5 8 psi.

I was surprise by that as well.

I guess the midpipe really helps.

I hope to finalize the location either by using an autometer cup or MAM new cluster design.

Thanks

what do you guys experience at stock level regarding boost?
what max PSI do you usually hit?

when i was at stock boost, it was like 5.5 psi maximum. after Unichip, it is peaking at 10psi and settling in nicely around 9psi

If you go here

and scroll down a few posts, you will see that I attached a picture of my mounted Autometer gauge using an Autometer mounting cup on the steering column (The gauge is the same model as yours).

With all of my modifications and running Unichip at stock boost and map A or B, I generally hit a peak boost of 7.58.0 lbs. and hold about 6.5 lbs. at redline.
