Painted brake calipers

well guys...i painted my break calipers red today...they look great IMO....will post pics tomorrow...i hope...time allowing.
 
Congrats! I am looking to do that when I do my brakes next month. Going to go for the shiny silver look, since everyone else does red. :)

ya i am going red. what did you do to clean the calipers before u painted?? do i need to go as far as to wire brush them before i paint them?? or just clean them off good?
 
I painted mine yellow. I found it to be the best combination with Laser Blue. Only problem is that brake dust is easily visible on yellow.

the kit that i baught at dicount auto came with every thing exept an old tooth brush. it cam with paint....cleaner...masking tape....brush...pop-sicle stick (stirer)

well, my dad is lending his camera to a friend who is out of town...next weekend we are going to take a group pic of the three of us and our cars (mx-5, rx8,p5)
 
I'm doing mine black.....I feel like my stock ES with 3 working doors shouldn't have any color but black....I'm looking forward to seeing something besides rust
