Shift knob question...

Those are all so pretty, But I can't stand an all-metal shift knob. They just get too cold in the winter, and too hot in the summer. I'm looking to get rid of my TT style knob from my miata to get another Mazda6 knob.

Thanks for the quick replies, Kevin.

Woohoo! I think I know what I want for xmas. :)

Another question: Is there going to be an engraving or sticker for the top part of the shifter?

The Type R knob will have a TWM logo on the top much like the classic line of shift knobs. The spherical knobs will remain with no logo.

Thanks,

Kevin

That's awsome, Because yesterday I tried to put my 03.5 knob on the kartboy shifter and it was too big so I'm glad to know that I'm not stuck with the Kartboy shift knob.

With the orange highlights, I went with an orange leather-over-silver round Ichiban (don't laugh) which matches and keeps my OE RH knob safely stored in a humidity controlled vault. In winter, I have a custom-fitted, rubberized all-weather wool coverlet that fits over the top, lending a different look.

OK, that's the way Sport Compact Car would've written it.

In real language, the Sparco's in my top drawer, and in winter I cut a keyhole slot from a tennis ball and worked it over the top of the roundie Ichiban, works great and easily removable - and even available in a bunch of colors!

The only thing I don't like is the gap from the boot to the knob, but that can be fixed with some rubber bands really easily

how do u do this rubber band trick?????

how does the greddy counter weight sit on the stock msp short shifter? is there a HUGE gap between the shift boot and the shifter knob? (kartboy knob and minor boot/knob gap shown)

Just put a rubber band on it to keep it up.

never thought of using a rubber band. i used some foam tape i had lying around to keep the boot from slipping down.
