Seibon Carbon Hood

Just recently received an OEM style Seibon CF hood from Horsepowerfreaks.com and both my mechanic and I are happy with the quality of the hood. There is only one imperfection, a crack on the corner of the driver's side. Hopefully it's not a major issue.

The aerocatch hood pins will be installed this thursday. I got the wrong version last week, so the install had to be pushed back.

nice. so you put the hood on already? I took min off for the winter because...well...I thought there was going to be a winter. hah. I know if I put it on before march, it'll snow, just my luck.

Actually I couldn't wait to install it...and with the winter we're having I figured it'll be safe to do so.

Btw, How do you align the side to side gap? The driver's side has a bit more gap than the psg side. My mechanic and I couldn't get it right.

im about to call dan tomorrow see the estimate he gives me to install the dp, i gotta see how funds are after i give your money for the headlight

He'll probably tell you to buy the turbo studs just in case. The oem ones are a bit brittle from the heat and environmental effect.

********** is the only place I know. But you should call him or Jeff to discuss the need to purchase studs...

you can break out the dremmel and shave off a little on both the passneger and driver side hinges to the side you want to shift to. try not to shve much more than like 1mm. may not seem like much but it helps.

looks pretty damn good. too bad you got the washer nozzles. it was a point I made to not have them drill when I got my gemini hood, makes it look so much cleaner. but lookin good none the less

It doesn't. I have the stock hood for the winter. IN the spring/summer if your window gets dirty then you should be ashamed.
