How wired are the 03.5's for Fog Lights?

Mwah ha ha, bringing this back from the dead since I have some questions as do some other people. So I'm going to install an aftermarket fog light kit. Let me get this straight:

1. The blank switch may be replaced by a P5 fog light switch, and the harness is already there to plug into the switch
2. The wiring harness is installed on the 2003.5 MSP, but stops near the passenger headlight.
3. The relay that comes with the fog light kit should be installed after the fog light switch. Is there an obvious place for this relay to go (like where the P5 relay switch goes Mazda just spliced the wires together)?
4. Wiring from the harness at the passenger headlight to the fog lights is missing. Using the wiring from the fog light kit can be used.

The relay part is my only question on wiring. I know 4" fogs will fit, what's the largest you can go with the G3 brackets and stock 03.5 lip?

you can also purchase an OEM relay.
it already has space for it, right next to headlight relay. it just pops in.

but you are right, relay goes after the switch.

I'm guessing that would be in the fuse box under the hood? Or in the fuse panel in by the driver's foot?

OEM fog light switch = $$
OEM fog light relay = $$
Not having to wire all that bulls*** yourself - priceless.

if any of the numbers are wrong let me know so I can correct them. mazda is always changing part numbers but the dealer part computer I was using is usually good about giving me the most updated number.

Thanks for the part numbers and pictures. Now, that harness you showed, which piece is missing: the wires to the fogs, or the wires to the fuse box?

I don't own the wire yet but from the catalog it looks like the wire to the fogs. I think the relay wires up under the dash that hooks up the juice to the wire that is already by the pas headlight.

I was actually referring to the wiring harness in your picture. Where does that go?

that is already there from the factory.....I believe that is wired up to the relay that is wired up to the switch. I think its kinda plun'n'play stuff I will get more info when I get the parts and tackle installing it. I will do a how-to with part numbers and prices for ppl that need me to get the stuff and pics bc it seems like alot of ppl like myself want to do this.
I will make sure to post a link here for a how-to

ok, this is what I paid for my fog light harness that plugs into the plug by the window washer and then goes to the front fogs to plug into.
www.mazdastuff.com (Call Richard @ (877)967-6884 tell him John from Vegas sent you)
B30P-51-688B CORD, FOG LIGHT $35.69

fyi: B150-67-730 relay $19.13 (also from Mazdastuff.com)

ps: I already did this. I just hard wired and I'm going to now order the relay because the 03.5's didn't come with it. OH yeah, I have a P5 fog switch as well, which the 03.5 has the wiring harness already there you just need to plug it into a fog switch.

1. Remove front bumper and install the Cord, Fog light (harness) to the front bumper first, you don't have to remove the bumper but it's not all that hard to take it off plus putting the fogs on and taking off your factory covers is much easier with the bumper off (trust me on this one).
2. Install the fogs and wire the fogs (via a plug) to the harness.
3. When installing the bumper plug the CORD, fog light harness into the plug by the windshield washer reservoir before fully installing bumper.
4. Install the relay under the dash by your left foot.
5. Take out a blank and insert the fog light switch and plug the green harnes into it
6. Enjoy!

Here's the price break down for the parts needed from mazdastuff.com

B30P-51-688B CORD, FOG LIGHT $36.19
B150-67-730 RELAY, FOG LIGHT $19.13
D342-66-4B0 SWITCH, FOG LIGHT $34.88

Personally, I'd rather run my own wire to the plug than spend $37 on the harness. The other stuff is priced pretty reasonably.
