So last night I went to a NYE party at a friend's house. Laid back, casual affair. Well, one of the women there was getting really tired (she's older - like grandma older) and left. She's backing out of the driveway and heading for my car, but we can't get out of the house fast enough to tell her to stop/slow down/etc. But, it seemed like she backed right up close to my car, but didn't hit it and then she drove off. We think well she didn't hit the car or else she would have stopped. So I take off a few minutes before midnight, hop in the car and zoom home (safely). Car sits in the driveway until this evening when I head over to another friend's house to help her pack some stuff up for her move in February. It's raining so I just boogie out to the car and hop in, drive to her house and park in her driveway. Drive home around 10:00 and park in our driveway. Andy gets home and says "what happened to your car?" I'm like "what do you mean?" Then my stomach drops. s***! She hit my car!!!!! Right behind the passenger door on the driver's side - pushed in the fuel filler door and above the wheel well. I can't believe I didn't see it this afternoon. So I called my friend and she's going to talk to the woman tomorrow morning and we'll get it taken care of. It just sucks. I try to take car of my car and it still gets ****** up. :(

no mater how hard you try to take care of your car, it'll always be in jeopardy..i think the harder you try the more people are assholes and hit it or do some sort of damage to it.

but yeah hope it clears up with the older lady, and not get into this whole ball of drama

Sorry to hear about that. Its understandable that you didnt see it since your car is black. Hopefully a dent puller will take care of it.

I know what you mean. I always parked my MP3 far away at working so no shopping karts would hit it and of course people somehow managed to get the side pretty bad. Good luck with getting your car fixed.

damnit. not cool at all, i hate that feeling when you see someone headed for your parked car and you cant stop them, ugh.. hope they man up and pay.

^
oh man...you look so much like a friend of mine

damn JA that sucks, being as I take the metrorail to work everyday I understand about dings in the car, before I had the MSP I had a 626 and I would park it in any space I could find, it was dinged up pretty bad from the MARTA garage, once I got the speed, there are four spots that i will park in all are at the end of lines so only one person can park next to me and I can overlap into the striped section for extra room, its funny because these four spots always have the same cars parked in them, we just rotate the best one by who gets there first. after all my precautions I still got dinged one time on the passenger side right at the crease in the metal so it will be hard to get pulled out. oh well, hope it gets fixed for ya.

Sorry to hear about that, hope it gets fixed soon. I would be unhappy if that happened to my car, sometimes it seems you can't have a nice car because no one else really cares about it. (boom07)

how did you miss that?? sorry, but remember, it's just a car and it can be fixed!!

I know, I know...it was almost midnight and there are no streetlamps near there when I left Saturday night & I didn't even look at the car when I was going out to it yesterday in the torrential downpour. :( It'll be okay though. She'll get repaired and be just as good as new soon.

ouch right on the crease, thats gonna cost some money to fix

thats pretty high up what was she driving?

I think an Intrepid or some big Buicky car...silver.

Wow that sucks. Since the fill hole is right there, I wonder if the gas tank is ruptured at all.

Hope everything works out for you.
