plug warning

Did some exhaust work on a MSP last night. Went to start it up and test drive it and it run like s***. The customer had told me he had changed the plugs with some big dollar off brand. It felt like a dead mis to me. The engine was not hitting on all four. Removed the plugs today to install some NGKs. Take a look at the number three plug. It had been hammerd real bad. Hit the piston hard also but the engine seems to run good with the new plugs.

Next anyone goes to the store to buy plugs, please get the normal plugs. Do not buy plugs that some cowboy is trying to sell. He will not be paying for your new engine if it fails.

Is that those E3 ones?

Yes they are. First time I have seen them. No idea on why they would work better then a normal plug. I can see them causing detonation all them.

Yeah, they are just like the Bosch platnium +4's. The Scamp loved those, went from a 13.21 to a 13.45! lol. What a waste of money, but I learned more money is not always better.

WOW, that sucks. He's lucky he didn't hurt the motor. NGK's all the way. I've only ever used the BRK6E's at .030 (or BKR's, I can never remember) and they work great.

Whoops, i made a similar thread in the msp sectionl But yeah, E3 blows. Stick to NGK. Strauss is lucky I didn't sue them, although for some reason I doubt I would win.

I don't give a s*** if I am putting plugs in my MSP,383strocker,girlfriends SE-R,or my ******* lawnmower.NGK,no exeptions

So now I learn...I put a set of Bosch Plats in my p5, after 11k got a misfire & a CEL, took it back to the dealer who put in a set of NGK's, no probs since...$260.00 later and I'll stick to NGK's...
