Has anyone made or found a place that makes side mount liscence plate holders for our cars. I got a fricken FMIC and im not bout to put a plate in front of it f that. So i was thinking of just putting one on the side like the evo's have i believe. Any help would be really appreciated.

I made a bracket out of angle aluminum, but I still have my old one lying around. Would you be interested?

Oh, pic of the old one on the Pretzelwagon:

And the new one:

Not much difference between the two; I just tweaked the measurements a bit.

Will it look good if its placed under the headlight?

I've seen several people that have simply removed the fronts.... i know in my state, as well as most others i assume, thats illegal... but does anyone know if a cop would actually pull you over for that?? Or how much the fine would be?? cuz i agree with bazooka joe, it looks MUCH better clean.

I've spoken with both State Troopers and local cops, and each say different things. Most state troopers have told me that they'll only pull over someone with no front plate if they have reason to believe that something else might be going on (they use it as pretense to get you to stop).

Local cops are a little more zealous. I was pulled over once going to the auto parts store. I had had my front grille (and therefore my plate) off for less than a mile before he got me.

If you want to gamble, know that eventually you'll get caught.

i had mine in the windshield for 9 months b4 i got a stopped for it, and i got 2 tickets for it in like 2 weeks, thats when i decided to get that bracket.

Keeping it in the cabin under the windshield is bad:
1) Imagine you're in an accident.
2) Now imagine a really thin and sharp piece of metal flying around the cabin during said accident.
3) Now imagine having it surgically removed from your face.
