I just thought I would share some pictures of Ehawleys cylinder head since he hasn't even seen it yet. Mpnick did a port and polish, competition valve job, polished combustion chambers, valve undercutting, etc.

With less than a two week turn around and a damn good price for the work involved I was impressed. Hopefully his car is impressed too!

Here's some pics.

So purdy! :D I want one!

Dave

You can thank all that to running the car in the winter.

not bad at all.

why did he use different valves?
did they get benched?if so,what did they flow?
what turbo is he going to be pushing through this b****?
est. HP?

you can't drop something like this here without giving a price!

BTW,this should be happening on your car.

That's nice! Nick does do good work, and he does it ALL himself! He doesn't flow test heads, he doesn't feal the need. He PP's them until he thinks it's right, and they're right. They WILL flow awesome, that's how he makes so much power at lower boost then others, by his porting on the head, IM, exhaust mani and turbo.

Hard to tell from the pictures, but the ports almost look TOO smooth.... a little swirl usually is nice to see...

flow testing heads doesn't do anything worthwhile... max flow does NOT equal max power..

Nice looking work though :)

What's the price on something like that? Does he have an option to send a P/P head and refund the core charge when your stocker is sent back? Just curious.

Im sure he would work something out like that...hes pretty accomodating

Didn't ryanj do something similar to his pistions?

that may be,but it does let you know if the porting job you had done will flow even through the cylinders

that is assuming the manifolds feeding and exhausting those ports feeds evenly ;).

A full valve and PandP job like this usually at most shops runs around 900-1000 for that kind of work, and that's just the machining. I think mine ran me about 1100 when I had my work done... maybe less.. my full machining bill for block and head and the like plus 500 in valves was 3200.

With everything done here it is 1250 +/- 150 core charge. So if you send him a head in good condition it would be 1100.

To be honest he did an awsome job, the ports look very even and all the lines are extremely clean.
