Hey all- help me pick a set of wheels for my laser blue PR5. I've narrowed it down to 2 wheels- the Kazara KZ-A and Flik Artic, both in black with polished lip. My main concern is durability. The streets in Boston (and Mass. in general) are not very nice to wheels. I had a set of Exel's that I bent the lip on in 3 different places within a week last year. Worst $1100 I ever spent. Second most concern is price- the Flik's will come in about $250 less than the Kazera's. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

They're on the Tire Rack. I emailed them, and they said that they'll come w/a dual bolt-pattern, though. I was really hoping for the single pattern, as I don't think the dual will look as good (IMO). I'm also considering this wheel now, even though I don't want to have to clean it...

Also from the tire rack, the ASA AR1 in black. Whatta ya think?

Well, I ended up going w/the ASA AR1's. Not looking forward to having to clean them, but I think they'll look awesome on the car. They'll arrive tomorrow, so I'll snap some pics. Can't wait....

Make sure you buy the wheels on a credit card that offers purchase protection, so if you do screw them up on the roads, at least the credit card insurance will cover the cost of the wheel for the first 90 days. Most Visa Platinum cards offer this kind of purchase insurance.

good thing u found a set that like. i've narrowed my options down to 2 wheels, enkei evo 5 in bronze, or enkei or52's in that weird blackish gray color that they have. starts with a A. hope u like them though.

Wow, good tip. I didn't know this. That would have helped back in Feb. when I bent new rims I had bought for my old Maxima. I did use a CC, and the Tire Rack, so I'm hoping the extra $200+ I spent on these will translate into high quality rims that I won't have to worry much about bending.

Protege02- you mean Anthrecite? I like that color, I'm not a fan of bronze rims. (Just my 2 cents) (nana)

yeah, that off black color. well, it looks greyish. i like the look of the evo 5 wheels though in bronze, but to each his/her own.

I voted for the fliks... only because that's what i have (mine are Flik Wasps).
Mine are anthricite, not black. But you get the idea.

if i had read this before i would have recommended the Kazeras. i got those about 2 months ago now and i love them, they are sweet!
i like the ones you picked though, they look a lot like the stock 05 maximas but in black. post pictures please!

Here's a pic- more on my site. ZoomVT- are your rims single bolt pattern or dual? The Tire Rack told me it was dual, that's one of the reasons I chose the ASA's.

21.2 lbs according to the Tire rack site. 1.7lbs heavier than the Kazera's, but I honestly don't really feel it when accelerating or braking over stock. And they handle great.
