I'll be starting work tomorrow morning, I'll fix the damage and probably give it another coat of fiberglass in the back to make it stronger. looking at money, I might be able to get the sideskirts next week . hopefully everything works out tomorrow.
just for kicks, I talked to insurance and they say that it would go up 200 bux a year if I claim this, so no way.
Did you add any fiberglass matte to the back? Everything I've ever read on repairing fiberglass in kitcar mags and books says that just glueing it back together won't hold up, you have to add some reinforcement. The epoxy or vinlyester resin is too brittle on it's own.
reinforcement is would be angle hair fiberglass matt, u are supposed to cut away the frayed cracked part and resin, and fiberglass mat the cracked area, looks like you did a good job though maz pro, should hold up
