i fail to see the correlation between daveB not making them anymore and street unit "making them from scratch." and why are they called daveB/********** rings if they are of an original design from street unit? perhaps dropping daveB's name would be better for all, especially since it's not dave's design and he has no involvement in the production or development of the new street unit rings.
i guess i fail to see why you guys are so bitter that dave came back and sold a few sets. if you had extra material laying around, wouldn't you just crank out a couple dozen sets? ESPECIALLY AFTER 5 MONTHS from the initial promise of "next week" from someone who was supposed to start making a variation on the rings. there's been ample time for street unit to come out with the rings. and if you go back to the beginning of this post, it was never said, especially by me, that the rings will NEVER be made again. and who cares what dave does or doesn't make anyway? the way i see it, the more products, the better.
getting upset over the fact dave went back into a very limited production run is like getting mad at MAM for making hardpipes for the msp. it's kinda silly.

Well i think Cullen got approval (dunno) from DaveB to produce these rings. But Cullen is starting from scratch while dave has his system in place. Cullen is still tweaking his to fit. Im not sure about the animosity towards dave tho. I would have definetly bought the street rings but I am an impatient mutha so I snagged up the DaveB rings

dave definitely sent his blessings. dave is one of those people who sees competition as a good thing. in the end, the community will benefit from lowered prices. if street unit charges $30 for his rings, and dave charges $30, then someone will have to lower the price and offer something the "other guy" doesn't in order for there to be more sales. better for the community. should there be a monopoly on the market?

Well I think the thing is that DaveB is making them anymore (except for this one instance) So street unit saw that there is a market for these because alot of people would still like to get their hands on them so thats why he kind of "took" over for Dave
