Not on my car :)

97DXProtege came by today and we installed the kit.

I like the direct route of the piping, and the core is HUGE...doesn't weigh that much either.

As usual the car was stalling with the maf on the ambient side with his Greddy Type RS, so we moved the maf on the pressure side like I've had it on mine for over 50k miles:) It wouldn't matter if we recirculated the RS or not, still stalled.

After we moved the maf on the pressure side, the car idled fine after the bov would go off. As soon as we went for a drive the car started idling like crap even with the maf on the pressure side. We checked/tightened all the clamps after the maf and reset the ECU. Car still idled like s***. It drives very good though! So after the car was driven for a little bit the idle is back to normal and the vac is @ 20 last I heard. Hopefully no more surprises. We did end up leaving some metal shavings in the cold pipe, and the engine probably sucked some in. We found some shavings in the MAF-->TB pipe afterwards. Maybe that was the problem?

Some pics below.

Unfortunately I don't have any more pics, however the Greddy is located right next to the fan on the driver's side below the intake.

Ill take more pics tomm, with the location of the maf on pressure side, and the location of the bov. The car works great now, no problems with idle at all. Anatoli deserves alot of props for the work that he does, it was just messed up that we had to move the maf to the pressure side in order to get the car to work fine.

Im presonally awaiting the release of CustomMSP's 2.5" S pipe. Hopefully we will get a chance to buy one soon.

Here are some pics of the finished install. Looks good. IMO

just using have of it?
I actually noticed a powerloss after the underhood temps rose, so i took a piece of the intercooler pipe i had when we cut the pipe to fit the maf, and used that to connect the other side of the cai. So now its back to the cold air. And much better performance.

nice, so no stalling whatsoever? cool looking setup.
Yeah no stalling, runs great and deffinietly and noticable power gain, and the boost holds better(no drop). Ill try to get some vid clips for you guys.
