Am I being unreasonable?

OK, so I go to the dealer this morning because I got a letter saying my car was on their "hot list" and they wanted to buy it from me. So I figure lets go see what the catch is. So I go and take a look at the new SP23 (Mazda3 Special Ed.) It has heated leather seats 6 disc, fogs, sun roof. Pretty nice car, comes with 160hp and it drives pretty nice as well. Oh and it has cruise...

So we start dealing and everything and then they tell me they will give me 11,500 for my car....My response was **** that, "hot list" my ass. They said how much were you expecting, and I said I see them going on ebay for 15,500-16,500 with twice as many miles as mine (She only have 12,914)

Long story short is no deal was made because the most they would give me for my car was pay off of 12,800 and they were not willing to come down on the sticker price of the new one because it just came out 3 weeks ago.

So am I asking to much thinking I can get 16,500-17,000 for my car with the aftermarkets I have on the car? I figure I should be able to get 15,500 if the car was stock.

Yea I was not expecting them to pay extra for the mods, I was going to return it to stock, but even stock I expect atleast 15k.

I love when you drive through a car lot and you get a "preapproved" loan check for the car you "just so happened" to stop in front of. Yeah, I didn't really want an SRT-4 anyways.

I would say that 15k would be a fair asking price.

There is an acura dealer around me that sells a bunch of modified cars such as wrx's and evo's and stuff.

They offered me 13.5k with all my mods for my car and they were planning on selling it for 19k with all mods on. They even asked me for a timeslip.

The fact is, there is no car like the MSP out there right now that is in the same price range. I won't trade it in until the MS3 comes out. And then it's still a big maybe.
