Squealing brakes

I first noticed the ultra high pitched squealing when the temperatures dropped below zero. I brought it to my dealer's attention at my 16000km service and they said there was a TSB out, but the piece was on B/O. I went back the following week, they serviced it and said everything was fine now.

Well, it started getting cold again tuesday morning, and the squealing is back. ARGH!!!! Should I just accept this and not let it bother me? Or should I go back and complain?

Happens to me too. Only notice it when it's cold out. after a couple of stops and the breaks are warm, the problem does not occur. It's probably the type of pads that are being used... maybe the material? Once the weather warms up, I don't think we will experience this. I guess well see :)

There is a tsb on brake squeal in cold weather. Obviously the dealer didn't replace the part because it was on back order, as you said. Tell the dealer when the part comes in, you would like for them to fix the problem, that they know exists, since they know of the tsb.

dont just accept it! make them fix it. i let the dealership tell me there was nuthin wrong with my brakes and look what happened. its BS how the stealerships dont wanna take care of any of the problems with this car, ive been driving around with the airbag light on for about 2 months now cuz the dealer wont quit BSing about it. i know my brakes were a little (or a lot) past squealing (more of a grinding) but thats only because by the time they started makin that noise it was too late for the rotors and pads. then they wanna charge me $100 per rotor and $100 for a set of rear pads!! BS, i went with aftermarket parts. (attn)

I had the same problem with squealing brakes when cold and took it into my dealership.. They had to order the parts specified on the TSB.. Basically replacing the front pads with upgraded ones and machining the rotors.. It did stop the squeal..
