Bigger injectors vs. Stock injectors..

a wideband will tell you if it is safe.... well more or less... it'll tell you are hitting AFR, but if you lose an injector you should know it otherwise anyway... There is no single device more critical to tuning a car than a wideband and by no stretch of the imagination does a narrowband cut it!

I have come to believe this as well over the last few years with all the experiences I have been thru.

Here is a picture of my primaries... small ball and disc... if you look at my secondary injectors they have little tiny cylinder nozzles that stick out... so very different between the two... I'll maybe get pics of the secondaries soon.

Later.

Was that safe??? That is the exact amount of boost I am trying to run with the MPI tuner. I dont know if i should get the additional injector setup or just stay with my stockers.

He was running a very small intercooler. If you are running the MAM system it has a killer cooler. Also the older TM dumped alot more fuel then the new one. I think 5-6 max boost without extra injectors.

yeah, no doubt... with an efficient turbo system you wont be able to go far without larger or extra injectors on ANY EMS. unless you want to fire them in batch (haltech f10, and some e6x guys do it batch)

I did end up confirming that spacers were used for my fuel rail and injectors. They are about an inch long. The good thing is they are easy parts to order in. So in theory you can easily use the injectors I showed because they fit the rail fine and everything. You just need the spacers and some different bolts. Not direct drop in, but a 15 minute install either way... and at 33 bucks an injector for a 550cc injector... a couple spacers and bolts is a minor inconvenience for that!
