Ahhh, a REAL Hummer, not those bad ass, wussy wannabe H2's, for snobs and the likes. Thats a true hummer. The new ones, IMHO are just a big ******* yuppie mobile. Nothing more.

yes that is the only real Hummer. the H2 is just a suburban with a different body and the new H3...well...is just gawd awful

the newer hummers are bad built, i don't know if anyone has seen them up close, but there are lots of plastic panels and s*** that rattle(even on the outside they have some), i was watching an audio system being put in one, and i have heard less rattling on the outside of a old ass pinto going on then with this truck...

That would be because GM started making them, using their 'Comfort and Convienience' package s***. All GM's use the same stereo, which is a joke of a stereo, but cannot be changed, since the ECU is wired into it, and it's a real b**** to get around. I dunno if the Hummer has this stereo, but probably. Car and driver has been saying for years now, that on the inside, you can add nice leather and stuff, but the trim is all the same, very low grade, hard ass plastic s***, that falls apart really easily. Hell, my moms Chevy Venture, we slammed the passenger side door, and the entire entirior panel came off. They are built worse than mexican porta-potties. ALL GM'S SUCK. Even the corvette gets skimped on, which is why the price is so ******* low. Hell, Chevie's trucks are even getting worse...

H2's have fine build quality, and they actually fair pretty well offroad, and their ground clearance is actually not that much worse than the original hummer, and its better than most trucks/SUVS on the market right now...

and real hummers are not rare, i see them all the time, my neighbor owns one as well, they are bad-ass motha's tho, i would love to have one, but the cost and mileage is just enough to turn me off of them...

I am soooooooooooo glad I have found people that agree about that piece of crap!! The real hummer is the ONLY REAL hummer.

I was getting my LX washed a few weeks back at my local detail shop, and while I was waiting outside, smoking a cig, they were finishing a H2. The guy finishing it came over and was looking for the owner and asked me if it was mine. With about 8 other people standing around, I deff let the guy know I would never drive one of those s*** boxes. All it is is an SUV on steroids and plastic and in no way a comparison to a REAL hummer. Everyone there laughed and some small little 5 ft nothing yuppie with the cardigan sweater look came out and jumped in. Morron. (laugh)

all hummers suck. Period. If you saw a land rover defender 90, i'd be impressed. Guy I went to school with has a Yellow H1, I've driven the s*** out of it..Fun..I guess..get your sundial out to time it's 0-60.

Whoever sees real hummers very often are very lucky, cause here in Montreal, it's rare, I've been seeing them at the rate of one a year. The H2's well they are verywhere. The funiest thing is when I saw a H2 in Paris in front of the Gucci store a week ago. I couldnt stop laughing just thinking how in the world do you get that thing to fit in a parking garage in Paris

don't you need solid axles to be able to fair pretty well offroad? have you seen the video of the H2 going over some fairly small rocks in a trail and one of the front half shafts popping out?
