Custom Widebody Kit

Does anyone have a estimate on how much it usually is to have a shop custom fit and mold a widebody kit to your car, i have a 03' P5 and love widebody cars

5-10k probably, at least. first no true kits are out there for the car. next you have to pay for them to mold EVERYTHING, then you have to pay for them to paint the kit. my guess is it would cost at least that much, plus other expenses im not thinking of, and the fact youd probably want new rims once its done, etc.

For a P5, looking closer to 7-12K. Jay Laubs WIDEBODY KIT, to get molded onto his REX-7 was almost 10K.

custom most always means $$$ if you want it to look good --

just go rice and use duct tape -- hehehe :)

I think i'll wait on the widebody work i knew it would be expensive but i thought maybe around like 2000-3000, i could have a real nice turbo setup for 7000 or more dollars (burnout)

You could have a really nice turbo kit AND forged internals for $7k.

for 7k, you could have a nice turbo, with a safe engine(like internals and fuel and s***), 7k on the motor could have you a very healthy setup, safe for daily, and good for some track numbers...much better than a widebody, and if you just want the look, go for DG's carbon fibre widebody...sure it's not a true widebody, but it'll give you the look you want, for much less than 7-12k...lol, and paint it, unless your name is matthew and everything is CF, including your fuel door(heheheh, you know I love you and your CF door matt..oh, and way to get on MazdaUSA:D)..and shouldn't it be you trying to sell DG stuff???lol. Seriously though, if you just really want the look atleast, I think DG's looks pretty good, I wouldn't suggest Wings West's, just cause i's mega rice(ier) than DG's, and prolly isn't the greatest quality

i know it doesnt look like much of a widebody kit and its for a sedan but Vis Racing makes a GT widebody kit for our sedan...here

Guess it depends on where you live and who does the work. A friend of mine just had an RSX body kit fitted on to his Tiburon. With paint it was 6k. Looks amazing. I got to see the entire process since the custom body and paint shop was next door to a performance shop I hangout at. Was alot of work.

(omg) Holy cow dude, that's one kick ass P5.

yes you win its a ww with the fins cut off and its a buddyclub 2 front end widen to fit

what about cracking? i know most custom jobs after a year or two of driving the car will start to crack in places where the kit was molded, like around fenders and bumpers
