Who has upgraded their brakes due to FI?

TAHT'S RIGHT!!! Don't see ya around much anymore, anything different with those Wilwoods?
I am still here, just incognito. Ignorant kids give me a headache (know what I mean?) No issues with the brakes. I have not experienced any problems. Although, it is time to replace the pads. I burn through front pads twice as fast with the slotted and cross-drilled rotors.

end of year is probably too late for me and i'll buy long before then...even HAWK or Carbotech pads with ducting and slotted and cd rotors is still not enough

Stop playing around with street pads on the track and get honest track pads. I *assure* you the proper compound (XP9 perhaps) will stop the hell out of your car.

i emailed them at <!--webbot bot="Substitution" s-variable="CompanyEmail" startspan -->tech@e-racer.com but didn't get an answer...has anyone rated them yet?...someone has their kit so it seems they are legit

I got them in....and just like I experienced in the two other cars I drove with them. Good pedal feel...and I feel so much safer.

Email them again.... They are usually quite good with emails. They sell this kit to the other mazda platforms and have had some good success in selling them.

Dust caps.... I ran a set of aftermarket calipers without dustcaps on my old civic for 2 years..through winters....never had a problems.

took me a while to shop around for the best value kit...i wound up getting the e-racer kit b/c of its price...the only draw back is the 1 piece rotors but they are a very common rotor (can get cd & slotted) and so are the pads so replacements won't break the bank either

for the rears i got some slotted rotors b/c they won't get too hot as the fronts will take the brunt...i also ordered a pair of kvr rear pads (<$50)...other pads started around $100 for a set for the rear but they were more aggressive

i'm hoping to do at least 3-4 more track events before winter arrives but might be moving to michigan in the next couple of months due to changing jobs...it's not certain yet...at least grattan and gingerman raceways will be close by

a review of sorts...

the e-racer kit is a good deal...the dynalite wilwoods are of good quality and longevity...however the "t" compound pads suck ass (don't get me wrong but they are much better than the underperforming stock pads albeit probably b/c the surface area is signifcantly larger)...however they don't last long as in i went out one session in them and 20 min ate through 80% of them!

since i'm from va and og racing is right around the corner (and even has a shop at summit) i got some performance friction race pads and they make this kit come alive...i have to see if my camera will load this stuff with dazzle (and when i get time) but i was on several occasions making up significant ground on a z06 and 911 in the braking zones and through the chute/carousel...enough that i'd be eating up several high perf cars through this tricky section (- note got to mix it up with a 360 Modena and a Murcielago)...in case anyone has this kit and is looking for a great set of track pads their part number is 7752.97.12.44 (they are for a 97 Comp Volvo)...be wary these are real race pads and are loud and ineffective like mad until they get hot...that means several 60mph - 0 threshold ABS/Lockup stops just to get them working consistently

i also need to get some new replacement rotors and you can't cross reference the part numbers on the "valu maxx" rotors that came with the kit...of course 3 emails to e-racer's sales and tech line have gone unanswered...does anyone have a phone number for them or know anything about what rotors we can use to replace them (i.e. what car they are for...these have to be oem rotors for some auto mfgr b/c of how cheap the kit is)

Warning...the stock rotors from this Valu Maxx cannot withstand track events...they are drilled and slotted from blanks and not cast so they are much weaker

i wound up getting a set of blank iron 1 piece rotors from a local shop here...they are made in japan by a company called IKT and are as well built as the chinese made Brembo blanks
