Dave's Klunk fix and endlinks installed (Pics-not 56k friendly)

I got my mechanic to install Dave's klunk fix and endlinks on saturday. He was impressed with the kit and noted that the mazda forum that I kept visiting had a lot on interesting parts (He LOVED dextor's hood prop kit). The only thing that he forgot to do was relocate the endstop to the side of the new bushing, but I did it just now.

Btw, I noticed that the sway bar was scratched up from the oem bushings. Do you think the dealership will replace my bar? Is it enough damage to warrant a warranty visit?

It much stiffer and the handling is better. Right now I need to buy a shaft clamp because the stock end stops are slipping.

No way the dealership will replace the bar - that's what happens under the bushings anyway. Clean it and hit it with some rustoleum and you'll be set.

I like those endlinks - I stayed with stock on mine - noi problems but yours are cooler, and your spacer pucks are anodized (mine were pre-production...).

Good pics.

Thanks Ping !I'm just too picky for my own good. I need to update the photo soon, because I just added two stainless steel shaft clamps to the sway bar (clearance to the bracket is ok...,it does come into contact with it).

ryoga: How do you move those stopper things? Are they crucial? You replaced them with something else? I don't really know what a shaft clamp looks like, where do you get them?

The stoppers has a oem type clamp that you can bend to loosen the rubber clamp and relocate it. However after doing so, the clamp couldn't be tighten enough and it would move after so sprited driving. So, with the advice from Dave, I got some shaft clamps from www.mcmaster.com with a bore size of 20mm (not sure).

The only problem I had with the shaft clamps from mcmaster.com was that it was rubbing against the brackets a little, but other than that, it really held the sway bar in place.

I noticed that the endlinks are ajustable, so what would be a good starting point? Note: In the pics above they are at their shortest...

I feel like a noob, but i don't have an MSP so it's forgivable, but where exactly did you get Dave's clunk fix. My friend has an ES basically with MP3 susupention and he just got the clunk as well. If Dave's clunk fix is on sale that would be very good news for my friend. Thanks.

No worries. There are two ways, wait for more info on this thread posted by Dave himself (micaspeed!) or a representative or go to his website and email him from there: http://www.delsingmotorsport.com/ Good luck.
