I understand you live in Michigan, so you might be a bit protective of these things, but your whole argument is ridiculous. First of all, many American companies make a killing overseas, just look at McDonald's/Coke/Nike etc...Second I know japanese companies make some cars in Japan, but they make a bunch here too, many in your own state. A job is a job. Thirdly, why can't the Big 3 sell their cars overseas? Oh yeah, because no one wants them, since they're junk but americans who "only buy american" have made companie like GM fat and lazy..at least until recently. No the quality is starting to go up as they are finaly starting to see the light. Besides, Bush is no friend of American workers, the unions hate him and many in his administration think outsourcing is good.....so what was your point?

Sadly that's an accurate representation of all too many "patriotic" pig headed americans on numerous issues. They don't say it, but there message clearly does. There is no excuse at this point for automakers to not be manufacturing cleaner vehicles. It just happens to be an incredibly powerful lobby that has held firm to avoid doing the necessary research and investing it would require to do it right.

I'll just keep enjoying my smog illegal vehicle. The good news is I get great gas mileage. lol.
