powercoating the raceing harts

im thinking of powdercoating my rims black with the raceing hart in orange just looking for a little feedback on that idea.
I personally think that would be sick on an orange speed

I'd have to see an example before I can make a decision, but in theory.. sounds cool. I've seen the 'racing hart' logo painted before... if I could do THAT at least, I'd be happy.

but make sure your gettin them powdercoat,not paint

I'm not entirely sure that's even possible with powder coat... sure, black powdercoat, with orange paint.. easy

Yea... I wouldn't mind my RH's to be black or dark grey... it would look good on silver. Someone needs to do it so I can see!!

i think the orange wouldn't show up that well. definitely go with the black on the rims though,

I did mine white. Go to Wal mart and buy some appliance epoxy black spray paint and paint one first to see if you like it. If you don't just strip it with aircraft stripper and to will be back to stock. I had mine painted for a year and everyone thought they were powdercoated.

can u post a pic? i wanna see how good this spray paint looks...and where can i find aircraft stripper?

You can get the stripper at Pep Boys. I attached a pic. Just make sure you wash the wheels with dish soap before you paint them, this will remove the oil. The paint last for about six months before it flakes.

I don't have any close up's of the wheels. Just paint them and try it, you will be suprised. The epoxy paint only comes in white and black. I also did the racing hart in orange to match the car. The wheels are dirty in the pics, but they are the only ones I have. Normally they are very bright white. My friend came to my shop with a orange Mazdaspeed with stock wheels and my other friend asked him why he painted his wheels that horrible alumium color. We just laughed at him.

spicy orange would = HOTNESS with black rollers, plus it woudl make the wheels appear bigger... it's a whole prain perception thing i think but hott nonetheless

CAUTION!

If you use paint stripper on 03.5 wheels the hyperblack finish will come off! Its only paint
