Sportec S4 vs Stock STi

stock sti's arent nothing from a roll. Mazdamp3_18 with 9 psi owned one hardcore on the highway.

from a stop is a different story however...

That s4 had some turbo lag, must of been running a large turbo. There was like 3 people in the car also. You can get some big numbers out of that S4.
 
Haha. What turbo lag? That STi got out-classed. Then you realize a 2001-2002 S4 (Turbo) with just an APR piggyback will run mid-high 12's..No one realizes this until their shiny new evo or STi get cranked from a roll..then get wasted from the dig..Welcome to audi hell guys..It only guys up from there..*cough* KTR performance S4 *cough*

Split second of lag then the 400+ hp kicked in, then it was all gravy . :)
 
The 05 S4 with the A8 VW is god, imagine a turbo on that sucka...
 
Are we suppose to compare a 4.2L V8 turbo to a 2.5L 4cyl turbo and be impressed. And, Spicy....do you realize STi's run high 12's with a turbo back, low 12's with a FCD and boost controller. The Audi definetely has more top end, but a toss up in the track.

PS-and dont forget the $14,000 extra price tag.(2thumbs)

how many people do you know with an exhaust on an sti running high 12s?

just curious because my buddy has an sti with greddy frount mount apexi 4 inch turbo back greddy E-01 and couldnt brake into mid 13s. Only like 13.8 at most

Maybe he sucks at driving, but I just dont see him running high 12s with just an exhaust. Maybe on the best track in the country with drag radials with perfect temperature.

Maybe im wrong although

there's a guy here at work who lets me drive his 2004 S4. I REALLY want one now!!!
 
Azian6r...I know what you mean....I really sucked when I got the car. Now is a different story. You do need to know when to shift an STi and how to fast shift it.

Check www.imprezawrxsti.com and check the track threads...they are readily available and with videos.
