Music, Convenient location when mounted in the dash socket and no audio whine
Just paid 32.3k +tax and title and fees for a dark gray touring awd with homelink, bose/sunrook, roof rack and cross bars, wheel locks, and extended warranty
I'm a happy boy, happy boy.
Mine, now with 56k, is intermittent. Sometimes it works and someimes it doesn't. Does not seem speed or engine temp dependent. Anyone have an idea what the control unit sells for at a dealer?
For what it is worth, the dealer or Mazda picked up the whole charge for the rental (via Enterprise) for the whole time including the first day when it was still just an inspection.
I saw what the inside of my manifold looked like - I would get it checked.
The inspection took a couple of hours. The repair took about 8 days. Apparently, both the manifold and fuel rail on my car needed replacement. The fuel rail for the new style intake manifold was seriously backordered so Mazda had them install a new older style (Pre-recall) manifold and rail...
My 03.5 P5 is at the shop today. They found the screws at the bottom of the manifold. The compression tests all came back fine. They have ordered a new manifold and will be installing it tomorrow. Any other questions I should be pressing the dealer on tomorrow morning before they button her...
The stereo is fairly easy to remove. There is a good description here: http://nopaper.net/space/start/2005-08-14/1
I found that the removal tool was not quite engaging the springs holding the stereo in place. By assuming the stereo installer's yoga position and sticking my head under the...
AuxMod installed exactly as described (difficulties in getting the radio out aside - see related thread,) works exactly as described and takes the sound of my previously FM powered XM satellite up about 10 notches.
Fantastic
I am trying to pull the radio to install my new AuxMod (#1108 :) )
I removed the plastic pieces and have two sets of pull tools. I can get the passenger side to release and inch forward a bit but have had no luck on the driver's side. Anyone have any tips? Next step is probably the local...
A few weeks ago I had my windshield replaced. One of the small round covers on the cowl grille (the black plastic strip between the hood and the windshield) was lost in the process or shortly there after. Does anyone know the part no. so I can get a replacement or, better yet, have one laying...
9" of White Stuff
The new tires paid for themselves in spades today as we git hit w/ 9" snow at my house in norther NJ this morning and I made it up the hill from my house w/o problem.
Road noise is better that the stock tires as is the performance in the rain. Now, I know that snow and...
First impressions
My Pirellis have been on for week. I have noticed that the noise was initially quite loud but is now far less than the Dunlops, once the little rubber nubbins came off. Handling is good, will report back when we have some bad weather.
I will notice that steering effort seems...
I have 30k on my Dunlops and there is still plenty of tread left - they just are no good in the wet and really no good in the cold wet stuff. I hope these are better.
I debated about getting snows and steel wheels, but decided the couple of days a year when it gets bad enough around here to...
