I'm on Nexen N1000 's They look great. http://www.nexentireusa.com/tires-20/N1000 Accordig to their specs you should use 8" - 9.5" rims on these tires.

I stuffed a 225/40 on the stock 7" rim, I lost a lot of response, I'm looking now to buy a set of 8".

I fitted 225/40 R18's on the stock 7" rim, I lost precision on steering zig zag is very bad, although they have a lot of grip braking or once inside a curve.

You were right I physically measured my wheels and the stock wheels fot 2008 are 7" Given that, I went with the 225 / 40 R18 Nexen's (N1000) we will see how they perform...

I thought 225 45 18 were OEM on 2010 MS3!!!

I thought 2008 wheels were 7.5" I will measure them today ???? if that's the case is it ok to use 235/40 R18 ?? Thanks!

Ok I blew out one of my tires, the replacement 215/45 is hard to find down here, and I was thinkin on replacing my tires with 225/40 R18 keeping the stock wheels. Any experiences with this setup? Any advice? I might also consider 235/40 R18 is it safe with the stock 7.5" wheel? Thanks in...

I have one and live in Mexico City, Mexico is not as bad as you think, I go everywhere in my Mazdaspeed3 and I have not had a single problem so far. And by the way, I got Assaulted twice in San Diego's trolley. :(
