There is no doubt that a round tube flows better, but it always has to be considered that the gains may not be worth the effort as mentioned.
I think you have done a great job on this, doing everything in your power to make a quality product that will last. The people with enough patience to see...
Don't forget to size everything else accordingly.
Intake filter etc. has to be able to feed it.
I've seen 30-60whp out of f/i cars from fixing problems in those areas.(rockon)
I apologize if it came across as a bash. It was simply a question to ascertain the price and supplier. My point was you only get what you pay for, and I assumed they were made in China or something and costed a little less.. I'm sorry.
Glad to see the product is supported, and 2 out of 150 is...
Has anybody flowed the stock manifold versus the stock head?
I think this manifold will easily outflow the stock head judging by power number with 15psi in that other thread.
My guess is that the head is around 230-240cfm, and the manifold will likely do 300+.
The biggest problem is the design. It has to fail the way it is built. The nipple for the EGR is way too long, giving huge leverage to the EGR tube to break it.
Also, it looks like it was butt-welded onto the piece. Add also that the weld looks suspect as complete fusion is not evident.
If...
Looks great. Good call on perfecting the floor area and air horns. Much nicer piece because of it. It may take longer, but it is so obvious when somebody takes the time to put out a quality product. Cheers.
I would really hope not. It seems kinda funny, but it just doesn't seem likely after all the work that went into the header...
Maybe it's just that the website is down and that's why you can't get ahold of them.
I have used some in the past, they have made a move in the right direction for sure. I do believe those particular flex sections were vibrant from a local supplier.
End-- OT.(wink)
