thunder header wtf

There have been two problems out of almost 150 of these manifolds and countless other N/A headers I've sold. This one, and
one other. No others have been reported to me nor have I seen a thread
about one.
Thunder has and will back up the product 100%; this buyer has already been PMed and will be taken care of, as was the first customer.

You other guys can manifold bash all you want, I honestly couldn't care less. I would never comment on anyone else's product--never have, never will and there isn't anything you can say that will get me into a pissing contest with you in this thread, or any other.

I didn't see any bashing. Its a cheap manifold but expensive ones break too. Relax buddy!

Just picked up a ported thunder mani from a member and I'm about to install it. I did notice a kind of long crack along the back of the mani where all the runners meet.

No biggie theres a lifetime warranty, plus I'll have it re-welded in a few spots and if that doesnt work I'll PM protephile.

Best manifold for the price too so you really can't beat it.

Steedspeed sorry I backed out I did want your manifold but I couldnt pass this deal up with a ported thunder manifold.

yo i didnt see anyone bashing your manifold, but i will say this...if you say you will never ever comment on anyone elses product that is either a lie...because everyone talks s***...or it is dumb...because how are people going to know about the quality of a product without anyone commenting on it? I mean if someone sells 100 bad intakes to people, but no one said a word...then you buy one and realize it is s***, wouldnt you be upset that no one spoke up? (and I am not relating this to your manifold in anyway, honestly I am always happy to see forum members going above and beyond to create worthwhile products for the community).

i believe this is what protephile views as bashing. the manifolds are not god's gift, but no need for comments like this.

I apologize if it came across as a bash. It was simply a question to ascertain the price and supplier. My point was you only get what you pay for, and I assumed they were made in China or something and costed a little less.. I'm sorry.
Glad to see the product is supported, and 2 out of 150 is good by any standard really.

My comment still stands on the design though. It is not impossible for it not to fail, just doesn't surprise me that it would. I would swap the hard EGR line for a braided one if the chance arose.

My comment about product bashing refers not only to suggestions and unfounded assumptions in this thread but many others as well.
I mean come on, did you think I wouldn't notice?
And crash, I'm not talking about advertising my own products and making
comparisons backed up by facts and proof, of course I'll do that. I'm talking about calling others' work or products crap. There's a difference.
In any case, I'm not taking this any further. If there's a problem with a product that
carries a lifetime guarantee then the problem will be addressed. Period.

Hey i can agree with that, the way you wrote it before was just a little ambiguous. And seriously bro, i have the utmost respect for anyone trying to further product development for our little niche of mazdas.

My EGR tube did not break, but the flange on mine was pretty warped and it leaked really bad. Hopefully they will take care of this for you. It is a pain having to take it off and put on a new one though.

The first batch did have a few problems admittedly. Thunder did make changes to the subsequent manifolds.

I have a manifold from the first batch and it hasn't given me a single problem since it was installed over eight months ago.

Anyhoo, since the issues from this thread seem to be solved .. closed.
