    why not check the block for a # then you will know the block/ bottom end is ZE or DE, i have read that Mazda did in fact match square intake ports to oval IM.

    V6 1.8 ltr is a K8.... V6 2.5 ltr is a DE A-spec.... V6 2.5ltr ZE J-spec yours is a K8 motor, you really should use the search and spend sometime reading will help down the road and i dont mind helpin you not a big deal, everyone starts some where so just keep looking you might want to check...

    well it is easy to tell , do you have a v6? or a 4 banger v6=K8 in a mx3 unless someone swaped already. you have a K8 you can even sway a de in there and it would be an improvement

    true ze makes 150-160 WHP with bolt ons , the de block with Ze cams is no high compression ze pistons are dish and forged internals so just swaying cams and intake will not make it a ZE motor, i would just buy the whole motor , if your doin all this work just best to do a full sway then built...

With the MX3 it is better to go with a curve neck IM on your ZE because of fittment under the hood, but you need to know that the curve neck ZE has KL-O1(DE) cams meaning...

    well you could go hybrid puting the ZE heads/cams and in take on could make a bit of a dif but, for $800 youe could just sway the whole motor, would be better then the hybrid unless the motor is built, ZE heads with the DE retainers,springs and sucj is a popular choice as the DE retainers and...

    If your boosting a ZE why not boost a DE or K8 they have lower C/R then the ZE 10:1 , ZE's with out work like boost 5LBS maybe abit more, correct me if im wrong but i would stick with a DE to boost make more since to me. your best to to wait and get everything you need to build the car then go...
