So, I have an 94 MX-3 GS, I wanna do the works to it 'eventually' (KLZE swap, turbo, etc)

well, I'm thinking about doing intake, Megasquirt, maybe headers, I'm not sure.

Question is, I'm a newb and I can't really make out what's wrong and right lol.. so that's when I turn to the pro's!!

what CAN I do to my car now with the stock engine in that I can leave or just put back in place when I swap it to the 2.5l KL-ZE (not sure what neck, if that matters)

Exhaust I'm pretty sure I can do, another member told me that if I want to turbo it that I should go with a 3" exhaust. I'm pretty sure that's ALL I can do without having to buy new stuff after the swap, but let me know what I CAN do!!

(unamused)

let me start with what i said before, i didnt realize that it was a MX3 so that being said i would wait, is it a K8 motor? With the MX3 it is better to go with a curve neck IM on your ZE because of fittment under the hood, but you need to know that the curve neck ZE has KL-O1(DE) cams meaning its not as an aggressive grind but not a huge dif but still, the streight neck has the KL-31 cams in it and is (more) aggressive grind.

oh, I didn't notice you even said you didn't realize it was an MX3! (screwy)

oh boy..uh, 'is it a K8'? I think, not sure..I mean, it's the GS 1.8 V6, that would be the K8, correct?

I know it's DOHC 24V.. (toilet)

so, simply put, if you were me and you figured that saving a bit of money wasn't my biggest concerns but I'm going to boost anyway, go 'DE' then boost? I just want a quick track car. I'll boost the hell out of it this week if you think I should keep the K8 lol

I have the Ebay turbo's favorited!! (glare) ..lol

i seen alot of people put DE and ZE motors in a mx3. If you want to go turbo either engine would work just lower the compression by changing the pistons ect...

if you go DE you can get ZE KL-31 cams and put them in or if you get a ZE curve neck (which I thought came with KL-31 cams) you can swap it in there to
