Stock head unit with aftermarket sub

Thanks! Marshall above is talking about some output that connected directly from the head unit to the amp he has powering his sub. And from what I get, he's running the stock deck and head unit too! So, I was wondering if anyone knew for sure if this output for the HU to amp exists in the...

    CD-R's not playing?!

I've noticed lately that the stock cd-player in my 2002 p5 is skipping through CD-R's that I've burnt. It's fine with store bought CDs however, and fine with CD-R's I've burnt in the past. I thought it was the CD brand, so I've tried 3 separate companies' CD's recently and I've had the same...

Stock head unit with aftermarket sub

Stock head unit with aftermarket sub in 2002 p5 I wanted to carry this thread on a little further. Hope someone can help out... I was looking to install a couple of simple, smallish subs in my 2002 p5. So, I had a cousin who got me a deal on a two 8 in. subs and an enclosure to house them...

    Coolant smell

I have a similar problem... A very/extremely strong chemical smells enters into the car through the vents whenever I use the windshield washer. It would probably be the smell of the washer fluid itself, but what the hell is it doing coming INTO the car. I've only ever noticed it in the P5. I...

    Replacing the stock muffler tip

when you say a "rivet", are you referring to the three portions of the stock tip that are "pressed in" and welded to the pipe on the "inner" portion of the tip? If so (or if not), what do you mean by "Screw through them"? Screw through where and what? Yeah... mostly, what rivet are you...

    Replacing the stock muffler tip

Welding? I dunno... the 3 screws seem much more... easy to do? If it's nice and tight, do I still need to weld it on?

    Replacing the stock muffler tip

By the way, is it necessary to somehow remove the muffler before cutting off the stock tip? or can it be done just jacking up the car and going underneath? I dunno...

    Eurolite Super Whites?

oh... and the wattage is right too... 55W for the lowbeams and 65W for the high beams...

    Eurolite Super Whites?

I've been using the Eurolite Xenon Fusion H7 bulbs for the low beams, and the 9005 bulbs for high beams pretty much since day one. And the Eurolite Xenon Crystal H3 for the fogs. So far, 1 year and running for the fogs (which are always on with the headlights) and they are going strong...

    Replacing the stock muffler tip

Just measured it out, and the new tip should fit on the shortened pipe no problem... mp5Jeff, did you paint the stock grill silver on your car? or is it a metal mesh grill? If you painted the stock grill, how'd you do it?

    Replacing the stock muffler tip

Nothing! Just thought I'd make use of the newly acquired one... Plus, the original tip, after 2 years, is getting irreparably dirty... is that even a word?

    Replacing the stock muffler tip

I might be wrong, but if I cut off the stock tip at the base of where it is welded on, then stick on the new tip to the now shorten pipe, won't the tip then be sunken in deeper and be somewhat hidden under the bumper lip? Guess I'll measure it out tomorrow... Thanks!:)

    Replacing the stock muffler tip

How do I "unweld" the existing tip? Can it be done?
